Aspiring Architect and Artist
I am an undergraduate architecture student at the University of Manchester, originally from South East England, with over seven years of self-taught experience in the arts. My work ranges from expressive, scribbled sketches of the human figure and portraits to precise technical drawings, where I excel. Having initially studied Biochemistry, I chose to transition into Architecture to pursue creativity as a career rather than a hobby, allowing me to merge my artistic background with my interest in design and structure. While I primarily work in pencil and pen, I have also explored oil painting, and for the past three years I have been a keen film photographer, developing a strong appreciation for framing, perspective, and composition. I use the name Oetzmann—from my mother’s side of the family—as a homage to a name and heritage that continue to inspire me. With bold ambitions to become a leading architect, I am driven to create work that bridges artistic expression with technical excellence while responding to the wider cultural and social landscape.

This website is designed to act as both a portfolio and a personal record of my creative journey. My aim is to build a stronger online presence and create a space that not only showcases my work but also supports networking and future opportunities. I see it as a living CV—somewhere employers and collaborators can gain insight into my skills, projects, and growth. At the same time, it serves as a journal of my development as an artist and architect, documenting how my creativity and design approach evolve throughout my degree and beyond.
